Gran Turismo. I used to play this before I knew how to drive.

Hehehe I know how to drive too, but I don't get to drive 200mph without risking my neck out there in the real world. Then again, risking your neck could by 1/2 the fun, idk.

It will probably be among best looking driver games if it was done right. It uses one of the most advanced cross platform engines, Frostbite 2.

Played the demo on the Xbox and the controls are just about unplayable. I wouldn't waste my time with this game.

Not to spoil anything but one guy in the office said that he finished the run yesterday. And he started yesterday also. Took him 4 hours. Literally. It's also rather unrealistic — if you are driving too good, your opponents will teleport to you, likewise if you cant drive they will just slow down and wait. Dont know if you can even loose there after all.

All in all its like a film.
Its great nevertheless, 18gb worth of graphics and all, just dont expect replayability.
I would buy it when there is a solid discount.
Also it will prolly appeal to larger player base, not just "racers".

To me, that's not much more than a GPU-intense game that should be available online a la miniclip. 4 hrs, end to end and dynamic drivers... I'm sorry, but why should I be punished for GOOD driving? To me, that just screams spoiled AI, rather than good AI that beats you on the virtue of being competitive to your driving and unafraid to leave you in dead last if you can't drive the car you have.

i bet some people will find it fun (me included) its just not a racing sim or anything.

Fair Enough. I'm a sim guy, so to me a 4 hr game like the RUN isn't going to appeal to me. But thankfully NFS has everything from street-racer to half-accurate sim. I just wish they'd align with a SimBin or an rFactor to make the steering and physics more accurate.
