Who plays?
I never realized it was some sort of MMO racing game. I kept hearing about it but never realized it was already released. I'm downloading it now. It was only released on PC Windows, so I'm hoping it's keyboard controls will be great.

I played a bit of it with me and my buddy when it first came out. It was alright, but after awhile I got bored and stop playing completely. They probably updated it a lot since then, because every time you get a cop on your tail there was no way to lose them except get caught. So I would drive for an hour wondering how do I end this, lol.

Well, I was in the last 2 betas before launch and had even pre-ordered their Starter Pack to get that 1 week or so head-start before all the freeloaders came in.
I wasn't pleased that in October last year they abolished the free/paid account level limit and started to shift to having to pay real cash for cars and parts that you can't get otherwise in game.
I CERTAINLY wasn't at all happy when they revamped the aftermarket part system from prebuilt packages to having individual parts MAYBE drop after a race, with no promise of what you'd get, if when or ever. Of course, you could buy a card pack with real money if you're so desperate...
I am rather pissed that they continue to focus on Boost-only content, even removing in game cash (IGC) purchasable things like body kits to make the good ones Boost only. There's something like 31 boost only to 19 IGC cars in the dealer, and it's only getting worse.
Also, buying Boost got worse lately with a jump in price, and their latest car, a BOSS 302, is only currently available as a GIFT when you buy $25 or over worth of their fake currency. I can think of better ways to spend that kind of cash.
Finally, the developers really don't seem to listen to the community, as bugs and hacking never seem to truly go away, but one never sees them lifting a finger to get on it right away. Sometimes weeks go by with no patching whatsoever. Black Box is pretty much commited to The Run, and it shows constantly in this cesspit of a game.
I pretty much quit back in December, and I still have no desire to return full time in it's current (and foreseeable) state.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest. -
Hm as soon as I saw this I downloaded it. I have never heard of this, it looks just like nfsu2 which in my opinion is one of the best racing games ever made. I hope I can use a controller with it. I'll follow up and edit this with how I like it
EDIT1: Oh wow, watching a review on youtube. It looks like they added some stuff from need for speed carbon, most wanted, AND hot pursuit (new). When did this game release?
EDIT2: The game seems decent so far. I hooked up an xbox 360 controller and I think it's not working correctly cause I'm not able to use powerups with the D-Pad... Other than the issue with the d-pad, I think the game shouldn't jump the cars around when they aren't syncing fast enough. It makes the game look sloppy. And I don't like the idea of buying in-game currency. It's a cool idea though. I may play here and there.
