Get Just Cause. You will enjoy it believe me. The tropical setting and the huge topography combined with shiny graphics made me glued to it when I last played it.

Another game is Scarface: The World is Yours. Of course it runs only on XP. So if you have Vista, forget about it.

fyi- running gta san andreas on the pc is going to look a lot better than on the consoles...

not great, but decent. besides, graphics are not really part of the gta experience. they are just going for functional.

i second on Just cause, it has great Graphics and lots of free roaming , you can call for vehicles from the agency, having a chute always on your back can provide you with great jumps, there are a variety of weapons, and last but not least you can do a couple of moves that you can use to Hijack Vehicles, and use the Grapple to Grab to choppers nearby and Hijack em, its a wonderful game, Just cause 2 should be coming soon.

Mafia was an awesome game. Basically, GTA in the 1930's.

Yep, definitely Godfather for PC. Godfather's gameplay is quite close to GTA gameplay but obviously GTA is the best. I played it and enjoyed the story and missions. ;)

Scarface has some nice missions too but I enjoyed Godfather more... :D

You could try "Driver: Parallel Lines" but I wouldn't recommend it because of its outdated graphics and "not so great" gameplay. I did however finish the game and enjoyed some parts of it.

Not a big fan of Just Cause because of its crappy character controls and movements... Otherwise it's a pretty and exciting game.

I never tried Mafia on the PC, when I did attempt to play it on an MX440 desktop system when it first came out it ran terribly.

I played the Xbox 360 version and it was awful, but I think it was a different game to the PC version? I will deffo try the PC version when I get my XPS 1530 w/ 8600M GT card too.

I would second Simpsons: Hit and Run. I know it will run on ANY computer including those with IGP but its a really fun game and still worth playing! lol.

I wish they would bring classics like that out on Steam because I hate clogging up space with boxes from games, my PS3 collection already takes up enough as it is. For PC games I like to have access to them anywhere with a decent internet connection.

EDIT: I am getting confused....Mafia and the Godfather are two seperate games.....It was Mafia I tried to play on PC and never got the chance to. It was Godfather that I played on 360 and didn't like lol.

another vote for mafia, this game was ahead of it's time, i played scarface and just cause and they're good but mafia is just miles ahead in terms of mission design, atmosphere, storytelling, variety and gameplay.....it's on par if not better than GTA games!, a must-have for every pc gamer..
