Intel® Celeron® M 1.6GHz

It can handle WoW ok but of course not as well as a dedicated card. You'll probably need another 512mb ram to make sure your gfx can take 128mb for itself, but that's a great price for sure.
-
think it would run pretty well if i boosted it to 2gigs?
-
yeah that'll run quite well with 2gb of RAM i reckon
nice deal though,
shame the uk doesnt have black friday deals lol -
Yes, too bad all the Pilgrims left England and came to America with 2 hours worth of rations and....turkeys...
-

Sorry but I've just bet my buddy here $20 you won't nab one before the rampaging hordes of Black Friday carry away the 25 units they might have in stock exactly 40 seconds after the doors open....
-
actually im on vacation and we are in a small town so old people town so i doubt there well be much rampaging and im gonna be there at 5:00am in the morning when it opens to get it =)

It's not an overly powerful system, but for $250 you really can't go wrong. I imagine with some extra RAM you'll be able to play WoW at least at low settings.
Nice Find! -
anyone else got any opinions on how well it will play wow with a 1-2gig ddr just want multiple answers dont really know much about that graphics card
thx
-
Its a weak card but it should perform ok on WoW. I had an x200 myself and the worst thing about it was inconsistency - I found it performed identical to the GMA - capable of decent settings but totally unable to hold a decent framerate regardless of said settings.
Strangely, this did not apply to all games - just games running in OpenGL, even really old ones. Dx based games, even new ones like Battlefield 2, ran pretty much fine - go figure! I don't know anything about WoW but I don't think its an opengl game anyway so regardless it should be fine.
Great price for that laptop though. Good luck with it... -
Ooo
Good thread
Thanks for the info guys because this is the laptop I want to buy. -
That will handle WoW no prob. Yeah, just remember to upgrade to at least 1 gig of ram. And wow, that's a great deal...
-
How much does it cost to upgrade?
-
should be able to run WoW in opengl mode too. add -opengl to commandline, or something.

Why do people say labtops a lot? I see that often enough to wonder what is up with it

If we did, I'm sure some idiot here would label it as not being Politically Correct
