    Hey Guyz,

I got a inspiron 1420(vista home premium) yesterday. Started updating the Drivers to the forceware 162.22

I think I uninstalled the present drivers from the hardware manager, and then rebooted the system. Windows installed its own drivers onto the old ones and now my performance index is "1.0" (previously it was "3.7".

I had to do the above because, the installation software for the forceware 162.22 drivers wouldnot detect that I am running vista 32bit.

I don't know what to do....

    Please help.....

Try 163.11 drivers. I've had problems getting the 162.22 drivers to install, always comes up with a weird error!

    It doesn't work......

    the 163.11 says ....

" The Nvidia setup program couldnot locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will exit now"

This is the same error it gave with 162.22

    .....Now!!!

If I disable the antivirus(McAfee)...... Vista asks if it wants me to reinstall the program with recommended settings. I say "yes"

Now it says " Setup detected that the operating system in use is not windows vista[32 bit]. This setup program with exit now"
