I just finished Need For Speed Shift. Now I'm waiting for the release of CoD MW2, and I don't know what to play meantime. Some of my choices... CoD WaW (I like this game, unlike most people), CoD MW, or Empire Total War (which might not be able to run on my computer so well)... I have both CoD games so I wouldn't have to spend any money... Anyone got any other recommendations?

Batman:AA is a great game, runs perfect in 8600M GT, beautiful story, stunning graphics, fascinating gameplay but a bit short.
Bioshock is also a great option, very good graphics and story.
The list can be very long,
    half life 2, Oblivion,
World in Conflict, Company of Heroes (both very good RTS games and have a good online community)
    Assassin's Greed (I think it's overrated)
But if you have COD:MW what are you waiting for. It will blow you away.
    I didn't like COD:WaW, I didn't even finish it.

There are other threads here by people asking exactly the same thing like you so you can have a look around.

I'm playing Batman:AA and must admit that this is the best superhero game I've ever played.
Beside, L4D for great coop shooter game, half life 2 (the first and 2 next episodes) and Fallout 3 which is pretty long.
If you like COD WAW, what about COD 2? I personally like it more than WaW

I'm still loving COH and would recommend it to anyone who wants to kill some time.

CoD: WaW is a lot of fun. Despite it's poor reception I quite like it as well. Best WWII game I've played.

Someone else mentioned Batman AA. If you want something a bit different (than your typical brawler) with a lot of attention to detail and fun gameplay, this is the game to get right now. Total GOTY contender.

I was quite disappointed with Arkham Asylum's short length and don't feel like playing through the story mode soon. I did play it on easy difficulty and hear its a totally different game on harder modes. I hope there will be plenty of more challenge maps and maybe mods to come to spice it up.

Its not a bad game but it felt quite repetitive to me, especially with the combat and boss fights being mostly the same.

Uhm... you play a brawler game on Easy and complain how easy it is? Lol. Easy might be the way to go on some strategy games but an action game... c'mon? And short length!?! I am all but 42% complete. Granted I don't get to game too often but I finished CoD: WaW in a few nights. This game I have been playing for a couple weeks. Not too mention the extra DLC and such.

On harder difficulty it is a very different story trying to be stealthy and chain combos together. I doubt you would have ploughed through it so quickly. Also I am not the "get all achievements" type player... but this game has me scouring for all the Riddler clues, pick-ups and, well, achievements. Not too mention the fantatsic voice acting, detailed environments, varied style of play (stealth vs brawl), gadgets, character stories, etc etc. Compared to all the sandbox brawlers these days that are all style and no substance... this game is A+ material.

Operation flashpoint 2 has been getting pretty good reviews...the graphics are sick though, and the recommended specs are pretty high...something like a quad core and 8800GT.

Not a run and gun though...expect to die alot

I've played Vegas 2, and Batman isn't really for me... So I've decided to go with WaW. I've heard that they added many patches/maps, what's the patching requirements? I know the latest is 1.6, do I have to have all the previous patches before patching 1.6?
