You missed the 50% L4D special! I'd have recommended that if it wasn't too late.. not for $50 though IMO. Mmm, an oldie but ever played Doom 3? Or FEAR, or condemned.. all good scary single player games.
-
Omg! Left 4 Dead is soo kool!
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
yeah you missed a great deal on L4D 50% off
, in the UK it was £13.49 thats what i got it for
its backup to £26.99 now
-
You did miss the 50% L4D deal, but I say get it! The game is totally awesome and totally worth it!
-
Yeah i know i did play the L4D demo, it was okay. But i dont really have a lot of friends who would have played that so that is really why i didnt get it. As for Doom 3 and F.E.A.R, i forgot to list them i beat both of them lol.

You could get into TF2. Its about the only pc game that I play consistently because it is so much fun.
-
Crysis and Crysis: Warhead
Or if you fancy a change in direction Oblivion(fallout3 with swords/magic and hospitable environments) or the witcher. -
Man i feel like I am shooting all of your down, its not cause they are bad don't worry =D
I have played TF2 quite a bit (I have the orange box) But i dont have many friends playing that game so it gets quite boring for me. Also for some reason i did not like oblivion, not my thing i guess, I tried both PC and 360 with no luck. As for crysis I have a m8600gt and I kind of have this thing where i need to play the game with max graphics or at least an appealing level. -
As long as you don't mind 1280 x 800 then crysis on medium in DX9(maybe DX10) should look pretty darn good
-
What about FEAR 2? The demo looked pretty good
-
Have you tried Mario/Duck Hunt on NES?
-
crysis warhead was pretty good but be warned its pretty short
-
Mr._Kubelwagen More machine now than man
This might tax your system a bit, but you should check out Peggle.
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
the longest game ever, Pong
it might be a bit taxing so you might have to reduce settings lol
i would say Left 4 Dead, its great -
Lol i have already played to crap out of peggle, girlfriend made me get it, ended up liking it lol.

World Of Goo.

-
It's just that a lot of people don't know about it, or how good it is, which is why I said little-known, not secret -

i have quite a few more, just cant remember them all -
GRiD - One of the most intense racing games I have ever played
I love this genre buteven then it took me time to get into the game, but ince you get into it its awesome.
But at times it gets so hard I want to slam the controller into the screen
Not done but it took me quite some time to do a large portion of the game
Online is also fun
Dead Space - This is another great game. I'm not usually into the scary/horror games (they scare me), but this isn't that bad.
Not really scary to me more of a tense game but I have enjoyed it, and I am close to completion I think
World Of Goo - A great casual game that makes a nice change from all the hardocore gaming
It actually has great physics so you have to think a little, well worth it
Far Cry 2 - Not really played this that much, only a few hours
Runs very well on my system most settings high@1280x800
The free-roaming style is fun at first but got old fast for me as going across the whole map to do a mission is boring, also enemies respawn everywhere even in places you secured and are supposed to be safe
I was sort of turned off by these after a few hours but I'll probably go back and finish it at some point
That's my opinion (more of a mini-review I guess)
PM me your msn if you wanna chat sometime -
LOL
We are totally off topic ATM
Maybe a new thread should be started where everyone posts which games are installed on their pcs -

Ok . . .
L4D is definitely great, it's multiplayer-only. I find the Versus mode to be the most engaging. -

One game I always found myself going back to every 6 months to a year just to have a good laugh is Toonstruck. Something about cows in leather bondage suits and gay scarecrows just crack me up.
You might wanna check it out; Toonstruck Wikipedia -
Just wow..
Anyway warhead/wars and the BF series are also good. -
Crysis and Crysis warhead are great games. Crysis 1 is a Classic and Warhead is just a blast.
-
This is the best recommendation. (Chaz where can I read your Fear 2 review?)
To the OP: I seriously recommend that you get your friends into this game, playing Versus with 4-8 of your friends is the most unbelievable experience ever.
There is a LOT of strategy you can consider in L4D. Plus you can get a discount if you get the "4-pack" and split it with your friends.
Versus FTW! -
-
I understand where your friends are coming from, but I can guarantee that L4D is not scary at all.
The zombies are actually "infected" humans and they hardly look like zombies, just humans with grey skin.
The first time you play, a horde rush may be "shocking" but after a few hours in game, there is virtually ZERO fear factor at all.
Trust me, playing L4D versus with your friends is one of the best videogaming experiences that you can have. -
-
The one game that I play more than any other is GTA SA along with the ''Things to do in San Andreas'' Mod by DeeZire. I think you should take another look at some of the older games because some of them are so great.
