    So I have an alienware:

    Specs:
    Alienware 14 base
    4th generation i7 4700MQ Processor (6MB cache, up to 3.4 GHz w/ turbo boost)
    14.0 inch (355.6mm) WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Anti-glare Display
    16 GB Dual channel DDR3L 1600 MHz (2x8GB)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2 GB GDDR5
    WLAN Killer 1202 driver
    500GB 5400RPM-SSD Hybrid Drive
    Win 7 home premium 64-Bit

I am trying to run No Man's sky and wanted to see if it would be worth to upgrade, or to get a new rig.

    Thoughts?

Agreed. If budget allows, buy a new one and sell the old. Your specs are still well above the latest budget machines so the proceeds should help soften the blow.
