    I am looking to buy below now
    HP HDX 18t with below:
    I am told I CAN upgrade video card by HP but his forum says thats BS.

    So I love this notebook except
    graphics card.
    Two questions
    Can I upgrade MF gPU???
    Can I overclock a notebook????

    For $3.5k, you can get a notebook that will handle games MUCH better than the HDX18t.

    But, in regards to your question, 1) Unless the 9600M GT uses an MXM form factor, chances of the GPU being upgradeable/swappable is very slim. And the QX9300 is not overclockable via the BIOS, according to some owners of the system with the QX (though you can OC via software like SetFSB).

    If you want to spend 3500, then buy a Sager. 3500 would probably get you a qx9300, 9800 gtx, ssd, and all the other goodies.
