I recently bought COD4 and realized after purchasing it that i dont meet the minumum requirement for my video card. I have a Toshiba Satellite with a ATI RADEON X1200 and i need a Ati Radeon 9800Pro or better. Is it possible for me to upgrade to this?

You cannot upgrade your laptop graphics card. Please search and/or read the stickies next time! I'm sorry, but you're stuck with what you have.

The X1200 IS better than the 9800PRO
The line goes 9800 x800 x1800, so your x1200 should be better!
(PLEASE correct me if I am wrong on this!)

x1200 i think is a integrated card. the one of the newest for now. In this case: integraded < dedicated. also the line does not have to do with the performance as much. look at the ATI x1150, this card performes "worse" than the x800.

Buying a completely new laptop just for a one single game isn't a very smart choice, in my opinion :)

Run it on Max low, your card can play it... barely.

I do not believe CoD4 can run on a X1200. The clock speed and shaders are simply not enough. My old X700, which has 8 pixel shaders and 6 vertex shaders, and a core clock speed of 350Mhz cannot run CoD4 at a decent framerate with everything on lowest. A X1200, which has 4 pixel and 2 vertex shaders, would stand even less of a chance.

The most cost effective way would be to purchase a cheap gaming desktop. Unless you were in the market for a new laptop already.
