Alright, it is out at last. :D I played for half an hour last night and it left a positive impression. Not too many changes, but those that are there are intereseting. Graphically it's quite nice. The notebook in my sig runs it maxed out decently, but I get the feeling the full game could be much better in terms of framerate.

Opinions? Anybody else tried this? :)

I have played (2 days ago) the demo of Need for Speed Most Wanted. I must say, I have never seen such great graphics. I had trouble running it at low settings at native resolution. Framerates were a bit low. Not good optimilazed I guess. But still incredible.

I will play this one too after I formatted my notebook today.

    Charlie :)

I have also played the Most Wanted Demo, and i agree, the graphics reall are very good. Is Carbon much different to Most Wanted?

Carbon looks a bit sleeker and has a few gameplay innovations... but it's an EA game anyway, so it can't be TOO different from the previous chapter in the saga.

Its playable only on bare minimum settings on 1024x768 and its not as good as Most Wanted IMHO.

I'm just glad they brought drifting back. Drifting was a lot of fun in NFSU (though very unrealistic), but sadly made no appearance in NFSMW. I'll probably download this the next time I go into Windows. I've been looking forward to playing it for a while now.

I tell you what, drifting in GT3 is fun. Takes forever to get the right car and get the settings right, but that is realistic drifting. Sometimes it's even harder to drift in GT3 than it is in real life. ;)

I downloaded and installed the demo, but according to the readme:
That is a deal breaker for me. Uninstalled.

If you want to download it, there are a bunch of links here:

So Carbon has the same 'commercials' as Battlefield 2142? That just cannot be. I am afraid we will see more games in the feature with these stupid commercials.
