Well I have ripped a copy of NFS MW as an ISO and a DAA file (both) and When I attempt to run it via a virtual dvd drive I get told that it cannot continue installation due to Dx9.0c not installed... though it is

I have tried to edit the autorun.cfg files DX Version line from 9.0c to 0 and repacking it which should of worked but nothing happens when mounted. Then I attempted running an unextracted image via autorun.exe and it either doesn't run or when I run it it constantly says that a disc needs to be installed.

I have also tried running it in Windows 2000 compatibility mode and no dice >.<

Those were all solutions that have been proven to work ( I do not use a disc as My notebook does not have a dvd drive)

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Test this theory. Play the game with the original cd and then mount the image you have. Does the game still run?
