So I bought Need for Speed ProStreet yesterday. The demo ran great on my PC, and I was excited to play the full version. After installing it I was surprised to see a BSOD as soon as I clicked on the icon. I tried restarting and installing the patch, but the problem continues to persist.
But wait, this isn't the first game of mine that this has occurred with. I also recently bought Rainbow Six: Vegas. It ran fine with my computer, with generally good performance and stability. recently Ubisoft released patch version 1.6, and I installed it. After I installed it, I had the same problem as mentioned above, BSOD as soon as I try and run the game. I reinstalled the game and I still get the BSOD even without patch 1.6 installed. I even tried to switch video drivers. Anyone have any Idea what is going on here? did the 1.6 patch screw up my laptop's ability to run these games, or is it something else? any help would be appreciated.

BTW, how do I access the error message my BSOD displayed? My computer crashes before I can copy down what is says.

What Video Drivers are you using? This may be the problem as when I first played DOOM 3 back in the day, i got the BSOD and so I was told to update my drivers. Ever since, I have never gotten the BSOD on a new game because I have updated my drivers.

    Hope this helps.

I think the demo is more buggy than the actual game... I played the demo (and I thought the demo was horrible), and it crashed on me once in a while, but then I bought the actual game, and it ran just fine on max resolution and setting.

169.28 drivers.... I haven't tried any other drivers with ProStreet, but I've tried the 169.04 and 163.44 drivers with rainbow six vegas, and still got the BSOD.
