Awesome! Thanks for the links. Just finished downloading it in less than 20 minutes. :) GetBot + http://games.internode.on.net/fileli...edetails=13042 = 1200kb/s average. :D

EDIT: Looks like my Go7950GTX can run it maxed out at 1680x1050 without AA and get about 35-40fps average. Lowest is about 30fps. :D

EDIT 2: Interesting enough when I put 2xAA at 1680x1050 maxed out settings I actually get around 30-45fps. Very playable! ;)

EDIT 3: I just tried pushing my settings all the way up to the top (1680x1050 maxed out settings with 8xAA) and I AM still getting 30-45fps...XD Maybe it's just the demo but it surely looks like it is very well optimised!!! ;) :p :D

EDIT 4: added 2 screenshots of it. xP

EDIT 5: Just found out that there is actually an extra "Grip Race" in the demo that I missed out. Apparently it is much more demanding than the first track. I need to lower my resolution down to 1280x800 with max settings to get 30-45fps average (45-60fps in the tunnel). Uploaded another screenshot of the Grip Race.

1280x800 all max + panel 2X AA (in game AA not always works don't know why)

Not that playable though with these settings like 14-25 fps will probably turn off AA or overclock a bit when playing retail..

Wow, all of the EA servers appear to be heavily overloaded. I wonder how its gonna run on the 8400G......Hopefully it does alright, but seeing as I don't have the notebook yet, I'll try the X1600 first.

I'll get it off a torrent, so it'll be faster. I'll see how it works after it downloads, which should be within the next hour and a half or so.

Is the 20-30fps on your Vostro? What settings?

Hmm... last I checked the 7 series only supports 6xAA max in single card mode... It's clearly not running full 8xAA.

ThanX. Well looks like 8600M GT perform well without any NFS-PS optimized driver.
BTW above results are using stock gpu clock speeds ?

Well, i have installed the latest driver and fps average at 20's.

But what i felt is the game is not smooth, the game would slow down and then return to normal speed and would repeat the process during the entire gameplay and the fps kept stay at 20's.

    Any suggestion?

I have the same prob with crysis but the fps does drop for me..goes from high to low to high to low

I think its a demo problem

this nfs demo didnt have this prob nor do any other of my games

Pro Street does look good in terms of graphics but as always the Menu is so annoying, same problem with all the nfs titles ...i bet its because they are all ports

By the way my screenshots (fps in top right corner) / 8600M GT Oc'ed to 610 / 1400 / 480

    All Settings MAX @ 1280 x 720, NO AA

Nope cdnalsi...I just found it quite hard to steer right or left, I think its because of high speed the car is going at so you don't have full control

System in sig (8600M GT Oc'ed to 610/1400/480 and T7300 C2D undervolted to run at 0.962v)
    1680 x 1050
    All MAX, NO AA
I think i will keep the rest at 1280 x 720, looks just as good and fps is higher

Click on thumbnail to enlarge, click on magnifying glass to enlarge again , then click on picture to make it full size lol!

at 1680 x 1050, the fps does dip below 20 and the game is not so smooth

yup, played it at 1280*800, everything high + af... game runs pretty decent on those settings. the checkpoint race is kinda messed up, it is very hard to steer left and right (like somebody else already pointed out). the second 2-lap race is decent, not too hard to come in first(played both on racer). overall, i was expecting a little more from the new nfs, but will def. play this one when it comes out!

yeah, the road does, so do the cars! that nissan on the lap race is pretty sweet, kinda heavy tho, but once it goes fast, it flies lol
nah, didn't really bother doing that yet.
p.s. hey bb, i got fraps, alright, and when i press f10, it doesn't save my screenshots for some reason?!
