Downloading now.....I wanna know how's the performance on 8600M GT DDR2
-
Let´s see how my 8700M GT runs it...
-
ت yay Finally the demo is ALIvE!
-
Awesome! Thanks for the links. Just finished downloading it in less than 20 minutes.
GetBot + http://games.internode.on.net/fileli...edetails=13042 = 1200kb/s average.
EDIT: Looks like my Go7950GTX can run it maxed out at 1680x1050 without AA and get about 35-40fps average. Lowest is about 30fps.
EDIT 2: Interesting enough when I put 2xAA at 1680x1050 maxed out settings I actually get around 30-45fps. Very playable!
EDIT 3: I just tried pushing my settings all the way up to the top (1680x1050 maxed out settings with 8xAA) and I AM still getting 30-45fps...XD Maybe it's just the demo but it surely looks like it is very well optimised!!!
EDIT 4: added 2 screenshots of it. xP
EDIT 5: Just found out that there is actually an extra "Grip Race" in the demo that I missed out. Apparently it is much more demanding than the first track. I need to lower my resolution down to 1280x800 with max settings to get 30-45fps average (45-60fps in the tunnel).Uploaded another screenshot of the Grip Race.

So how does the game compare to NFS: Most Wanted?
-
Wow, all of the EA servers appear to be heavily overloaded. I wonder how its gonna run on the 8400G......Hopefully it does alright, but seeing as I don't have the notebook yet, I'll try the X1600 first.
I'll get it off a torrent, so it'll be faster. I'll see how it works after it downloads, which should be within the next hour and a half or so.
Is the 20-30fps on your Vostro? What settings? -

I didn't like it so much
It worked well ~40FPS all on high @ 1280x800... -
Hmm, pretty good! It ran much better than my expectation. Still, not a big fan of racing game though. At least, on PC.

-
lol
-
BTW above results are using stock gpu clock speeds ? -
I'm download the demo right now
I will post how well the 8600M GT GDDR3 performs -
Too bad! My ISP provider upgrading their servers & download speed never pass 55Kbps until Monday -
I will update my origin post pics later.. having problem with my IS account.. -
I get about 25fps at the start of the race and while racing i got 30 (or 30+) fps...
With a 8600M GT GDDR3
But i will take screenshots with the options and a few ingame
3dMark06 isn't installed any more and i have to download again
So 1 day i will download it again but i don't know when -
Matt wat settings are you running it at?
My g1s is barely playable at 1024 x 768 with all the setting at low.
Any help? -
StrangeI can play it maxed out and the lowest fps i get is 24
Do you have the latest drivers installed?
Here is the download page for the latest driver (vista 32 bit)
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15825 -
How do you have the game show the fps?
-
Download fraps
http://www.fraps.com/download.php
You can take screenshots and movies with it to ingame
EDIT:
And check previous page, there is a screenshot of my settings -
Well, i have installed the latest driver and fps average at 20's.
But what i felt is the game is not smooth, the game would slow down and then return to normal speed and would repeat the process during the entire gameplay and the fps kept stay at 20's.
Any suggestion? -
I have the same prob with crysis but the fps does drop for me..goes from high to low to high to low
I think its a demo problem
this nfs demo didnt have this prob nor do any other of my games
Pro Street does look good in terms of graphics but as always the Menu is so annoying, same problem with all the nfs titles ...i bet its because they are all ports
By the way my screenshots (fps in top right corner) / 8600M GT Oc'ed to 610 / 1400 / 480
All Settings MAX @ 1280 x 720, NO AA
-
Didn't you guys feel the cars were leaning towards the right? Just a bit?
Strange... -
Nope cdnalsi...I just found it quite hard to steer right or left, I think its because of high speed the car is going at so you don't have full control
System in sig (8600M GT Oc'ed to 610/1400/480 and T7300 C2D undervolted to run at 0.962v)
1680 x 1050
All MAX, NO AA
I think i will keep the rest at 1280 x 720, looks just as good and fps is higher
Click on thumbnail to enlarge, click on magnifying glass to enlarge again , then click on picture to make it full size lol!
-
Not a fan of un-realistic racing games, but i will probably dl this demo anyway.
-
black bird the pics say that u have a fps about 30. does the game feel smooth at those settings
-
at 1280 x 720 the game is smooth
at 1680 x 1050, the fps does dip below 20 and the game is not so smooth -
yup, played it at 1280*800, everything high + af... game runs pretty decent on those settings. the checkpoint race is kinda messed up, it is very hard to steer left and right (like somebody else already pointed out). the second 2-lap race is decent, not too hard to come in first(played both on racer). overall, i was expecting a little more from the new nfs, but will def. play this one when it comes out!
-
the road looks amazing lol
BIG V, your 8600M GT overclocked ? -
yeah, the road does, so do the cars! that nissan on the lap race is pretty sweet, kinda heavy tho, but once it goes fast, it flies lol
nah, didn't really bother doing that yet.
p.s. hey bb, i got fraps, alright, and when i press f10, it doesn't save my screenshots for some reason?! -
-
Hey, i really want to test this out, how good do you think my comp will run it?
-
nvidia geforce 6150se?! hmm...i'd have to go with pretty low settings, if that...sorry calvin
-
Sly your computer is awesome!!!
Dude Pro Street is awesome.. does your PC run smoothly in the extreme settings Black Bird? -
-
anyone try it with the 8400 GS yet?
-

-
Nice.. by the way anyone played the crysis demo?? its Awesome!! Pro street Rocks Aswell!!! nice work Sly
...
-
i have but it is still unoptomised so runs very badly
-
-
btw wen is the game releasing
-
i think by next month. ill call up EA's info office if you want me to sly... btw where are you from?
-
please do and wales
-
also screens are saved in C:\Fraps by default
if that doesnt work...uninstall and install latest version perhaps
and sly, i have posted two posts, one with screens @ 1280 x 720, the other with 1680 x 1050 -
ok. i've heard games are pretty high up in price in the Europe...whats the gaming community like in Wales??
-
top notch most play wow and css
-
Funny thing happens to me...
2 Year OLD NFS-MW Lags when i enable 2xAA & AF (All other settings MAX @ 1024x768)
,but newly released NFS-PS demo works fine with 169.04 driver.I don't have FRAPS results but i feel the difference. -
im not a big fan of wow... CSS is good..but i like v1.6's gameplay better..=P
