Well I ran it on the rig in my sig, everything on high with 2xAA and it ran pretty good. 169.01 drivers. Beautiful game but the physics were pretty hard to control for me. This game reacts nothing like Carbon, I found the controls to be sluggish at best on this game which is too bad since it looks like a lot of fun.

the car just goes too fast for its own good + the AI, even on king, are pretty weak.

They don't want you losing everytime on the demo. But yes, the AI sure suck, the only thing to race against is the clock and the AI are merely obstacles.

That sluggish behaviour is called "realism". Once you get used to it, it's much more rewarding than games like Carbon. Also, the difference is a lot to do with perception, not that it's a bad thing.

I recommend you to update to the 169.04 driver...

Perhaps not the highest setting but medium high :)

Wow... You're the first BenQ s41 owner I've seen. What's your opinion of s41?

after playing the demo for a while, I think I want to get G25 before I buy this game since it would prbably make it much easier to steer/shift/accel/decel/brake.

Im running nfs prostreet demo at 1440x900 aa off, most things on high and getting ****y fps like around 20? My card should be able to handle this right? Only way to get above 30-40 is to set res to 1280x800 and put stuff on low-medium?

what do most of you guys use to play racing games?
    steering wheel, gamepad, mouse/keyboard??

i've never tried a racing game on the PC, so I'm curious as to how the population plays them.

Depends, I don't have a wheel but would get one if I am interested in a reasonable realistic game. Others such as GTA or the previous NFS games can do with a keyboard.

@BigV... oh yeh, now you just need a mod to allow you to run over everyone in the crowd and randomly saturate the screen red. Of course, you also need another mod that allows you to win for doing that!

    Personally, I thinks it s*cks as :)
Appart than the possibility to make your own car, there hasn't been any gameplay improvement or that much visual eye candy since Carbon ..

Interesting 1UP review... It's the only review I found so far that points out positive things about the game instead of the other way around (ie. gamespot and IGN review)...
