I think it's a good idea having a talented studio work on this game, the guys behind GTR. They seem to have PGR in their sights, if not a bit more simy with tuning aspects. I haven't played an NFS game in probably 10 years (for good reason), but this is actually looking pretty good. Q3

I have my doubts, Undercover has not proved to be all that worth while at the moment.
-
the whole series is getting stale
-
I've lost faith with the NFS series after the recent NFS...(prostreet & undercover).
I watched the interview video on gametrailers.com and it seems they're trying to make it into a sim instead of arcade. I've never liked sim racers so I guess that's the end of NFS for me. I'm pretty sure I won't touch it. Oh well... :X
-
ya i saw this article earlier today too and i'm pretty excited for this game. looks quite promising. but as with all the nfs games these days its best to wait for reviews before buying the game. however, i have been feeling like getting a new racing game, so the next best one that comes out is the one i think i'm going to jump on
-
It seems like a copy of GRID
-
-
I thought this was a console only game?
-
Yea, it does look like a GRID clone, but that's not really a bad thing, I happen to love GRID. I hope this has no relation to the other NFS games and just tries to be something different for a change. EVERY NFS game as of late has been rushed, that's probably because EA wants to try and keep their stocks up there, I can only hope they don't rush this one. -
You know, I was really looking forward to undercover, beacuse after ProStreet, it also "looked promising"
however it was an epic fail
it runs like crap on my pc, while GRiD plays so much better on med/high settings
Hopefully, though this can get the NFS series back on track
My hopes aren't that high though
Also, keep in mind that Dirt 2 is also coming out soon -
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
undercover and prostreet were very poor, they should have kept it as plain street racing like in the Most Wanted vain that was really good but this just like the two previous titles will fail.
-
yep
But undercover was street racing and still failed -
everything after most wanted sucked. i'm sure this will also suck lol.
-
Especially since they are making this into another pro racing game like an advanced prostreet, the game that led to the downfall of the NFS sereis
Still it looks interesting -
-
If it happanes to look anywhere near like that then I wouldn't mind trying it but didn't they say the NFS is dead and not likely to make another one?
-
to be honest, I like NFS. Definitely not for the car physics engine (which is the same since...hot pursuit 2?)
but it definitely offers entertainment, if not for the mods, then for the babes.
I appreciate the effort they're putting into giving the game more credibility. A more realistic sim engine would really help the series stand out. -
I am also a fan of NFS
it used to be the only un-realistic racing game that focused waaaaay more on customizing
I loved that
Hopefully you can still customise cars in this -
NFS games were good when they came out. But EA ruined them IMO.
-
(Sorry, I had to say this

Most Wanted: Black Edition was one of the best. Carbon was a bit worse, while ProStreet and Undercover were just horrible. If only they'd go back to the days of Underground 1/2 D:
-
The only thing i loved about Burnout Paradise was the car crash physics and Road Rage
-
NFSMW Will remain the best for ever!!
-
-
I loved Underground 2 and Most Wanted, Undercover is just horrible.
-
i remember the days of nfs: hot pursuit and hot pursuit 2(ps2) on the ps1
-
yes! i still remember how i used to park my car in the desert and admire it.
-
nfs carbon was still good, running down the hill was pretty fun!! but pro-street really blew it!! it wasn't like nfs at all! they need to stick with the basics from underground 1/2 and some innovative concepts in street racing!!
-
To be honest i'm not a fan of the Underground's, Hot Pursuit or Most Wanted... Pro Street was so so, boring after a while... The one i really enjoy and played full was NFS: Porsche Unleashed, followed by NFS 2 Special Edition...
I guess i'm more into the Open Roads tracks, watching the beautiful landscape... I dont like the street circuits, or driving in a city like if i was playing GTA -
NFS: Carbon FTW.
I liked racing at night, more then the daytime racing in Most Wanted.
Well....maybe it was racing down the mountain that had me going...lol -
I think we need a Need For Speed: Underground 3!
-
Nah, we need NFS: Hot Pursuit 3.
Tired of all the stupid ricers and pimp my rides. -
Hot Pursuit 1 was the bomb, I loved using CAD to design my own cars and tracks, seriously miss that. They went downhill since then with the exception of Most Wanted. I've giving up NFS until they decide to make a good title and am 100% Midnight Club.
Need for Speed: Shift - preview looks promising!
