I have a Dell inspiron 9300. What would be the best settings to get a fair FPS in need for speed pro street demo. I have the nvidia Geforce go 6800 and the intel(R) pentium(R) m processor 2GHz, and 1024mb in memory. AND is it possibly to upgrade my laptop. thx.![]()

You will be able to run it BUT on lowest settings i think....
And i don't know if it is possible to upgrade your laptop, but i don't think so -
In the demo I run it on medium settings(some high, some low, the only off is world shadows, I didn't like it on low, but not tested on high) at 1280x720, which is the only resolution that have a correct aspect ratio in the demo. I get 40 fps on the first track, didn't used fraps and the second track, although it was playable with these settings. I have a go 7600(oc 520/400 core/mem) which I think have performance comparable to the go6800

Could i "see" what your settings are, and do you have Vsync on or off. And how can you see your own FPS without Fraps. My currently settings are:
Res: 1024x768
world detail on HIGH (becouse i want so that i can see the people at the raceday, i will not adjust this)
world lighting is ON
world FX is OFF
world shadow is OFF
Anti aliasing OFF
texture filtering ANISTROPIC
Vsync ON
Car detail LOW
Car effects OFF
CAR damage HIGH (I WANT the damage, this setting will i not adjust)
Smoke ON (I WANT the smoke, this setteing will i not adjust)
When i use fraps i only get 15-20 FPS. What is your settings plz. or i could use a hint to get more FPS, so that it is more smooth. thx.
