Recently bought the ASUS G1s (Vista 32, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20GHz, 2G RAM Nvidia 8600MGT etc.). Yesterday I got Gears of war delivered. Installed necessary forceware. Everytime I load the game Vista shuts it down saying it has encountered a problem (which it doesn't specify). I have tried installing newer forceware as well as re-installing the game with no success. Any suggestions? Please help.

Trying uninstalling your drivers, run driver cleaner, and reinstall the drivers.

    well... number 1

the drivers on nvidias site DO NOT work for laptop, they do not support thier mobile GPUs, go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14562

and download that modded driver, follow all the instructions.

there are newr drivers out, but so far that one works perfectly for me, i can run bioshock, stranglehold and gears of war at high seetings/resolution with no lag at all.
