So first off I would just like to say my brother took a power hit on his computer and fried his hard drives and possibly his video cards. But what I come to you with is that I have been working on his video card and I now finally got the computer to boot up and display through the graphics card. But now when the computer is on, anything I do, no matter what the program is or task I'm trying to do, the computer is SO DRASTICALLY SLOW and sometimes freezes. I haven't been able to find much on the internet so I'm hoping someone on here could give me some advice?

There's no heat problems, I updated all drivers and Catalyst. Any ideas or any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    - Revin

We'd be able to provide better insight if you included your notebook's specs. When you say power hit, do you mean a voltage spike? If so, it could have damaged more components than just the hdd and gpus.

Yes a voltage spike. And Yes I am aware it could basically have damage anything and everything lol. But I don't know the specs off the top of my head except that his cards are Radeon 6770's I believe. And it's a desktop not a notebook. Guess I could be in the wrong forum.
