    Need help with gta 4 securom stuff

    I was trying to get my copy of gta 4 to work with the mods and stuff, no luck with that, I tried to uninstall it and it made me get some cd key and i didnt think anything of it. and when i went to reinstall it my cd key it came packaged with didnt work or anything, so do i need to buy a new copy of the game?
