    Folks

Just got my new dell e1705 last week and need your guidance on the following:

    1. Is there a simple guide to removing dell bloatware without removing any critical files or programs?

    2. I have a 1920x1080 WUXGA screen with a 7800go. Even at the native resolution, text (e.g. on the internet) looks a little blurry with some blue artifacts bleeding through. Is there a way to improve text clarity on this screen? Maybe some windows settings or a better nvidia driver?

    3. I had some problems playing a movie DVD through Windows Media center. Had the movie freeze on me a couple of times and I had to do a restart. Is this typical?

    Thanks a lot!

    2. You can change the DPI, and also set the view text size to high.

    3. It may be a problem with the DVD. Did the movie or the computer freeze?

Thanks Chaz....and SeaSlorg, I did try changing DPI but that made my IE images look real jaggy, so went back to native resolution. But I'm bummed that the text doesn't look crisp on it. Regarding changing text size, are you referring to the options in IE or is there another way to do that system wide?

And regarding the DVD question, it was the movie that froze, not the puter. So I guess it was a DVD issue. I've had problems with some other burned DVDs, so I guess the stock Sony drive is just picky! Guess I'll go experiment some more.

What most of us do is reformat the drive and reinstall windows
