Ok I beat fallout 3 a while ago but never really explored it just did a few quest and just beat it to quick. I saw the DLC disk and I want to get it but do I have to start over again since i'm on the last part of the game. Thats my only save. I really don't want to redo everything again. Is there a way to continue your game after you beat it?

I think it should work. (At what part near the end are you at?)

Once you get to a certain part, you can't go back to the rest of the game.

Yeap agree after a certain point i think leaving one of the vaults (103?) you have to go with the main story...only option would be to get a save file from somewhere......if you havent played much of the side quests it wouldnt hurt to play through them.....i think there is going to be a GOTY edition released soon with some of the download content......

I believe installing the patches will fix the ending so you can continue playing no matter the outcome you choose. Not completely sure though.

With the Broken Steel DLC, you access it AFTER you beat the main questline.
With the Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, they can be accessed at any time. (You recieve a distress signal and such after a small time passes in game after installing the DLC)
It should not have any effect on your saved games. It didn't on mine.
