    i dont know the techincal know how , but i know its not possible. we all know GT5 graphics look amazing but why can we run not a fps in it its game engine.
    ive been arguing with a friend, but i dont know details to why this isnt possible

    I think I'm lost. Are you asking if a First Person Shooter can be made with the GT5 engine?

    Technically, you could, but not as the engine stands. It's been created for vehicles and tracks, you'd need to create an entirely new system for characters and surroundings. This however, is against the idea of an engine. The engine takes care of the background stuff and doesn't force you to create anything new for it (though this may not be possible since you don't have access to the source code).

    Besides that the cars in GT5P have very little texture-mapping, and are made of a huge number (several hundred thousand) of polygons---sort of the opposite of most enemy characters in a modern FPS.

    lol basically that, and what are the key modern technologies that make up an fps and how that differs with other game genres like racers/ third person etc
