So heres a rundown of my situation and while I doubt anyone may be able to help, it does make me feel better that someone just might do so.

    About a month ago I had catalyst 6.8, BF2142 ran fine on medium settings + 2xaa 35+fps.

Now, I have updated and changed my driver twice. BF2142 didn't perform so hot so I went back to 6.8, now mind you I un-install drivers in safe mode and use driver cleaner to mop everything up afterwards.

Performance is now horrid compared to how it was one month ago. FPS between 15-30fps. Horrid, same settings, no programs added, nothing, no spyware either.

Mind you I have the same problem in CS:S. But thats a different story.

So honestly I feel like nuking my whole system and doing a fresh XP install but I really dont want to because I have a new 160gb HDD coming in soon and I want to have all my data backed up on my current 80gb.
