for my case, it works perfectly fine when using be it the fn+f8 or the windows+x for 195.62.
when upgraded to 197.25, none of the above works at all.
-
Yes like genocidew said. Slider is there, Fn keys are there. Just that both do not work, as well as changing from the battery performance side.
A workaround is using the NVIDIA control panel, and using the "Adjust desktop colour settings", with the settings to "Use NVIDIA settings". Brightness changes work there geno, however the buttons on the keyboard still won't work sorry. -
yep i tried it to for the "use nvidia settings" it really does work, but not that convenient compared to the previous driver, so i decided to roll back to 195.62
-
Using desktop drivers, I can't get 3dmark06 to recognize the 1280X800 resolution my computer should be running. It will run in some wacky 1280X875 res.
-
are the 195.62 good? do they have brightness issues?
-
forget 195.62, go for 197.25 desktop or 197.16 mobile.
-
Benchmarked it on 3DMark06.
This driver sucks for me.
I got 5053 Points on Dox's Forceware 195.62.
While, this Forceware 197.15 only give 4993 Points which is even lower than my Forceware 186.82's Points(5023).
Waste my time testing it, it even give me artifacts in some places. -
LOL that's barely a difference. Between 186.88 and 186.84 there is 5648 vs 5916 points for me. I'm not installing 197.15 though.
-
-
i scored around 10300 with 197.15 vs 10700 with the 186.81 drivers. 186.81 is still the best for me. -
Why do people still measure the performance of new Drivers by 3DMark results. Those are nothing like real gaming measurements and a lower mark doesn't mean the new Driver is worse. All I care about is real live gaming performance.
-
well game performance went down for me also. i lost about 5 fps average in bc2/gta: iv.

How does 197.25 work compared to the new notebook release 197.16.
New 197.15 x64 drivers = Smoothest Gaming yet and lower temps!
