I recently bought a new Seagate 7200rpm hard-drive off of Newegg. I did a fresh install of Windows XP (my old hard-drive has the Windows Vista upgrade I'm searching for a good driver for my 7900GS). After doing some slight overclocking of my GPU (470/1100, 1.0V), My computer is screaming. It's cranking out Oblivion on high settings at a 1440X900? resolution. I can completely tell the difference between the old 5400rpm hard-drive and this new 7200rpm. The load times are so much faster. So for anyone who thinks the speed of the hard-drive doesn't matter, I can tell you it does. Also for anyone wanting to play games on your laptop, the specs in my computer is probably what your looking for. The T7200 with the 7900GS and 7200rpm hard-drive is the way to go if you want a decent gaming notebook on a budget.

Did you have a 160 GB or a 120 GB 5400 RPM drive or what?

Correct, especially Oblivion wants a fast hard drive.

Yeah, I did see some difference between my Seagate 7200.1 and 5400.2. Not a huge one, but a bit better nevertheless.
