Hello,
I am have a brand new Asus N550JV laptop and I updated the BIOS and all the drivers. I play Wizard101 online and I noticed that runs perfectly while plugged in using the AC Adapter. However, when I remove the AC and just run on the battery it is so slow and lagging its not funny!
I did set this game to auto use the Nvidia 750M instead of the Intel one. Anyone have any ideas as to why its doing this or having problems like this?
I have checked my power save etc, its all on high and set to give me max performance.
Thanks!
Anthony

When running on battery both the CPU and GPU will downclock to save power. The only way to play any game at its max potential is to be plugged in. This is common with all laptops.

That's not true, my last laptop was an HP Envy 17-3270nr and it worked PERFECTLY on battery no issues what so ever while running the Wizard101 game. Something is off, wonder if I should test the NVidia Driver instead of using the one from Asus.

CPU is running too slow.

CPU was not running slow, so wrong answer. I updated the NVidia Drivers from there Website, changed a few more power settings and now I can play Wizard101 without ANY lagging or slowness. This is "NOT" a high end game at all and doesn't even require much to run it. I figured it out, close closed.

an expert with an attitude. if you come here for advise try to be a bit more courteous to members offering advise even if its not to your liking.
running any game on battery that uses the dedicated gpu is the easiest way to kill the battery early. -
