HORAAY FOR THE NEW PATCH NOW I CANT EVEN PLAY THE GAME !!!!

also as usual my saved game is no longer compatible , so I am going to burn the DVD , I am sick of it. I cannot maximise the screen anymore , the window just flashes like stobe light . I have the latest drivers as well fro, Nvidia
Maybe I will get a retro engineerined one from laptopvideo to go , see if that works

You need to start a completely new game to get it to work.

 

on a side note at least they nerfed the m60, 40mm tube, m2, and increased the cool down on mortars. and made power tool faster

 

faster but also overheats faster.

 

2 engineers can repair a tank from empty to full in almost no time.

 

What happened to M60?

 

This is kinda stupid, they are just making every gun the same now.

details about patch for whoever was wondering about m60

 

doubleyou tee eff (why is that censored?), who would ever think this was a good idea? I haven't even touched the single-player beyond the first couple levels, but I have noticed smoother performance in multiplayer as a result of this patch.

I'm glad they nerfed the Carl Gustav, though. One hit from that thing anywhere near you and you were dead. And about the mortars, I could never get it to work more than once in the same game even on the old version.

 

I still get killed by CG with full health even with the new patch. Wasn't nerfed that much. Same can be said for 40mm nade. I finally got the M60 though, and it works decently for me.

 

A direct hit with 40mm or CG will still kill you of course..

Although I do have to say since the patch, I've been getting much better k/d, but I still have issues when shooting people point blank in the head (with hit registered white X showing) they walk away with little to no health damge.

 

This is exactly why I could care less about BC2 anymore...

They nerf the only decent medic weapon, but yet CG is still one-shot kill and 40mm remains unchanged

false. the m60 was way overpowered compared to anything. they decreased the kill radius of CG and 40mm. like someone said of course direct hits are still going to kill. i still find it much more enjoyable than cod. just saying

 

I actually don't think the SP is that bad. The story is quite generic, but at least it's sorta cohesive (I found MW2 story rather confusing honestly). My first play-through I'm just trying to destroy all the M-COM stations and find all the Collectables (because I'm just like that ), so that during my second play-through I can actually play the game without exploring so much.

As for the patch update making you have to start the game from the beginning, I don't think that's right. It just makes you restart the level that you were currently on. You just go to the level and start it again from the beginning (still annoying? sort of). At least that was the case for me.

 

as long as m60 is nerfed, they can take away all my engineer weapons and leave me only pistols and i'll still be happy, god i hate those medics.

 

what did they Nerf on the m60 anyways? lol

cause for some reason im getting more kills with it now than i did before the Nerf pretty much more head shots.

I thought it also decreased accuracy at long range.

 

I'm Sharkiex and I approve of this update.

 

It's been stuttering/choppy for every server I've tried to join and no fun to play. I hope it's just because the patch was released recently as opposed to some changes they've made under the hood.

 

Yeah, I have noticed a lot more warping with this new patch. Sucks. Got someone in my sights and warp 10 he's 20 feet from where he was.

Yeah same here when I click spawn it looks like the frame rate goes wayyy down.

 

Yup it happens to me too. they better fix that one FAST. along with the Dart gun and maybe AN94.

My fps suffers a lot!!!

 

It feels like the fog/snow/dust effects are stronger now. I cant snipe with my 12x scope in most areas because my view is obscured greatly by these effects.

Other people seem to see me fine, heck I had a guy shoot me in the face when I was behind so many bushes that I coudnt see anything so i wonder if these effects are not the same for everybody and are dependent on graphics settings.

 

Game is so freaking buggy now. The target warping is very obvious and makes it unplayable atm.

 

Yeah worst thing is when I am gunning somebody down with my side arm and they do the 20ft teliport into my face with a knife.

Though I have only seen the problem a few times.

 

Check here for how to fix it. Your A/V software is picking up how they save the kit and scanning it.

 

Interesting so it loads a file to see your kit selections.

How much you want to bet that means there is a way to edit the file and load with items you do not have unlocked, or maybe even load a kit that does not exist, like a sniper rifle on a medic

 

Test that and let me know... = P!

Like i keep getting lag spikes before i spawn and everyone is warping and boom i am dead.

I was just saying, I did take a glance though it just reference some file or address, not sure if its from a server or a game file but it does not have a simple "load x weapon/item" settings.

 

If you noticed this and crossed my mind also, DICE better come up with a different solution instead. Even a monkey can be taught to do Hex editing, if it's true get ready for rampant cheating!

 

Did anyone get the new Catalyst 10.4a drivers working with their mobility card? I tried the install from the AMD page but it appears that mobility drivers are not included. Thanks.

 

Not the right thread for this markrthompson. If you take a quick glance through this forum I'm very sure you will find a thread with links to the 8.74 drivers which have a complete package unlike the official releases that install natively on the mobile cards.

 

Well I played for a while tonight before it crashed on me (sorry mtshadow!) and there was a lot of lag. Both spawn and during normal game play.

 

oh yeah, i finally killed a medic with m60 in a face to face fight with my SMG, i actually picked up his weapon to check what he had, that was a month long goal i set for myself.

 

Has anyone tried to change the kit manually????
