Well... Apparently, they only worked on DX11 features, they didn't work on texture quality... I hope they allow me to ONLY turn on tesselation and disable all those post processing.

Sadly i dont see any major improvements in that vid. D:
Just a bunch of "vaseline on the screen" type effects and crap motion blur.
I do like tesselation though. -
DX11 doesn't show much improvment until its properly used, and basically used as the base for the game, not a converted DX9/10 game with features of DX11. As far as im concerned, we are still in the same graphics generationg of 2005/06 and tesselation isn't the answer to take graphics to the next step.

To be honest I have seen some great tessellation work mainly with the Dirt series 2/3... but months after a release and their really only doing a minor graphic patch that is not going to cut it... its like up converting a dvd to HD... its still a dvd movie

Game's dead anyway. No DX11 is gonna save it.

It was more a demo to show what you could do as a developer with cryengine 3, it was a sales pitch, and to make a bit of money back they made a game with it. Kinda like Id does with doom and rage and quake and unreal, all sales pitches to show developers the features and products you could make with it. Doesn't excuse it for being bad though.

I am looking forward to see how Rage plays when it hits PC. -
