    New Dell e1505 ordered..How will it perform on WoW?!

    I just ordered a Dell e1505 witht he following Specs.

    1.83GHz DuoCore Processor
    1gb Ram 533MHz 2Dimm
    ATI Radeon X1400
    80Gb 5400rpm
    DVDrw+/-
    swxga+ screen with trulife
    9cell battery..

    and more addones like a soundcard and tv tuner

    It came out to be a total of 1300 after tax. (750$ off coupon.. was $2000+ before coupon)

    How do you guys think this computer will run World of Warcraft on Low, Med, and High Settings?!

    Also.. I ordered it last night and the scheduled ship date is 7/7 does it really take dell THAT long?

    Should be no probs, IMHO. However, you may have some probs in 40 man raids.

    No probs on high settings or low? For 40 man.. which I will be coming up to soon. Got a lvl 55 on Zuluhead, name is Xavus. Ill put into Lowest settings. however You think I'll be able to get decent fps on high.. or mostly high settings (20-40fps)..

    I have basically the same set up as you do, i run it at near full settings, even in my 40 man raids, i just bring the rez down one setting and X-4 and it will run really nice, except in org where it does not matter what kind of computer you have it will just lag :)

    LOL. Yeah, even with the best PC out there, in large group areas like Ogrimar, expect to lag.

    I'm now waiting for someone to come along and say "I don't lag at all" :)

    I don't think you should have any hardware related issues even while running at full settings for your resolution

    Okay guys.. the verdict is in

    On server Zuluhead.

    On 1280X720. (lowest widescreen setting), on highest setting 1268X??? slower performance.

    Min settings.. everything all the way down, triple AA off.
    40-60 fps.. even in Org.

    Med.. most everying on. AA on Medium, Triple AA off, terrain med..
    30-60fps. ~30-45 in org

    Max settings..everything On highest. In Azashara ~20fps right out of town, but when griding about 50fps. In town around 30-40, (org)

    This is with the Catalyst drivers, and numbers are approximates. I ran the game last night and I am at work right now.

    Overall.. it plays the game amazingly well. On all settings I get spike of up to 60 fps..even with terrain distance up. Plays very smoothly, even with other internet browsers and messengers open (AIM).

    I am very impressed with the system. THe stats are in the original post.

    I think it was around 1470.xx. I order it on 07/05 and it shipped on 07/08. Can't wait to get it!
