Just watched the unveiling and it's already playable and free on Origin. Looks very cool! Downloading now to check it out.

It's actually very good. I was pretty surprised with the game. The game has so many elements from different games.

Pubg was the popular, but cost money, ran like @##@% and very unoptimized... Fortine came free....

Now Apex brings quality? I like respawn, too bad they got bought by EA but I hope they can succeed. I might try this BR later on.

Good to hear. A lot of people on the Internet seem to share the same opinion as well.
However for me it is a pass, since I'm not into BR, or PvP in general.

Tried it today, just now. Performance was good, the game was fun. It does feel polished, and it has its own twist on the genre. I like its class based, I liked the mobility and the capacity to revive teammates.

I don't have as much time to play F2P games, specially with my huge backlog, but will keep an eye out for it from time to time.

I am trying to understand how the texture streaming budget works. it can't just be texture quality because it has an option to be off and by no way can you can texture quality set to off - it makes no sense.

I'm passing on this. I love the BR genre but not the colorful cartoony graphics and way too fast gameplay.

Sneaking in pubg was fun until ring of elysium came which was even more fun.

Say what you want, but Fortnite brought a new fresh style to BR.

Now Apex Legends, and I betcha the upcoming Spellbreak on the Epic Games store is going to be the new thing later this year.

By fresh you mean that insanely annoying building mechanic? Or the childish cartoony graphics?

I actually gave it a chance, I installed it and played for a bit but at some point it stops having to do anything with BR shooters, only question is who builds walls faster...
Anyway, it must be appealing to kids since there's so many of them playing it. I must be too old to understand (30+). I just remember I saw one of the most stupid news ever, some 'parents' actually paid for fortnite tutoring for their kid [insert biggest facepalm ever].

Well, funny enough I don't like it myself, but it was original and brought a new twist to it.

I am talking from a strictly objective perspective.
