    I'm in the market for a gaming laptop and will most likely make my purchase sometime in January. I'm wondering if there's any immediate GPU technology coming out within a few weeks of January, such as a new line of mobile graphics cards and similar big introductions.

    I know they're always working on new things so you just have to settle for whats good at the moment but I just don't want to buy it and then be outdated just a week later. I'd rather be outdated in a month or 2 months time :p

    Usually new cards come out during the Summer. So you have a long ways to go.

    The MSI GT725 (ATI Mobility 4850) is slated to be released early next year (Q1), hopefully it should be in NA soon after.

    Probably not until at least next summer due to the horrendous heat output and power requirements.
