And this is with a Dell 680M. So much for Dell 680Ms dragging behind Clevo/MSI
(EDIT: GPU-Z shows 4GB. Dell are only offered with 2GB. Perhaps Clevo 680M inside an alienware?)

    Alienware M17x, 680M, 3920XM. Custom VBIOS, overvolted to 1.075V

    Results speak for themselves...

Looks like it's definitely on par with a desktop GTX 670 even if the latter is overclocked. Very impressive! I wonder how high his temperatures got with those clocks...1250MHz represents more than a 70% overclock, which is simply insane.

Yeah I don`t think we are talking cool temperatures here. :D But apparantly good enough to run a 3DMark11 bench with it.
Too bad no temperatures is mentioned

    EDIT: He made a quiz

That's a Clevo 4GB :) When you put the Clevo in any Dell or MSI laptops, the subvendor actually shows Dell (1028) or MSI (1462), whatever vbios or card you're using (same apply with the Dell 2GB 680M in MSI NB)!

    Very impressive though!

Well he got a golden sample then because mine only runs at 1087mhz at that voltage....

Not much I can do against that sort of chip

    Very nice scores.

Bus goes down to 2.0 when not loaded.

Mine doesn't go much past 1050, so you should be happy. :p

Remarkably I can do 920MHz at stock voltage and runs < 75C with fan clearance holes and foil mod. I'll take that :) I always know I have a little overclock potential in the future though in 12-18 months should I find I need to go OV.

Looks like it wasn't done by Saltius this time:

    PS: 不是我做的vbios,我做过的蓝天版680M的vbios,最高只预设到954MHz。TechInferno的svl7另外做过一些各类680M的修改版vbios。

PS: That vbios wasn't done by me. For the Clevo GTX680M vbios I have done, the highest default clock was only 954MHz. svl7 at TechInferno has done vbios modding for other brands' GTX680M.

Does anyone of you guys remember the "virtual shader" stuff for the 6900m series?? Was posted by the same guy... I don't really trust this stuff blindly.

Anyway, you can't crank up your card like this just with a modified vbios, this card might have a perfect chip on it, but even then it's unlikely, this board is not designed for such clocks, just look at the relatively simple power supply circuits.
I can't really see this working with the vbios version displayed in the screenshot. Even though I don't have a 680m myself (yet), I did a lot of stuff with the vbios, and this particular version doesn't seem to work nicely when cranked up. So I have a lot of doubts when it comes to this.
By disabling some protection / throttling functions which are apparently present in the Clevo vbios it might be able to get about 1GHz stable on most cards, but 1.2+GHz is just so unlikely.

I just read the 1st post of the original post in Chinese, it seems like he's saying that through the modded vbios + driver modding + reg tweaking created under the new idea he came up with he's able to combine both cards' shaders 960 + 960 and lets windows think that it's only 1 card so it became a virtual card with 1920 shaders total.

Maybe he's worked with AMD before?

I've only read the first 12 pages and it seems that he was just trolling.

BTW I'm pretty sure that if GPUz is showing 100% then it's not reading the asic correctly.
Probably needs an update to support the new GPU.

I know that around the time the asic test just came out, my 540m was over 100%.
Then after an update to GPUz, it went down below 80% iirc.

You guys should take this with more than just a grain of salt... some cards manage to get almost 1100MHz on the core, true, a 'golden' sample might manage to squeeze some more MHz simply due to die quality, but a difference of almost 200MHz at the same temps and voltage... come on.
Don't get me wrong, it'd be fantastic if it was true, and I'd love to see the vbios, especially since the Clevo version seems to have issues at higher clocks, but I can't believe it, especially after this "virtual shader" vaporware which came from the same user. Why isn't there an official 3dMark11 link? It's too easy to fake a score. It's also really easy to create a vbios that shows 1500MHz or whatever, without the actual clock being that high.
Keep in mind that users like 5150 Joker or Meaker cranked up their cards to the max, and it's distinctly lower.

That is not entirely correct. Perhaps for that 680 model yes, but not 670.

GTX 670 runs @ 1.162V and it can be overclocked to 1263MHz with that voltage.
AnandTech - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Review Feat. EVGA: Bringing GK104 Down To $400

However its a bit strange that our overclocker can each 1250MHz with 1.075V though...

Yeah, I still call BS, 1.075 is way too low. I will have to look into that AT review some more, but not sure if those cards in that review are actually hitting those clocks or if that is just a 'specified max'.

Laptop components are of higher quality than desktop , which means they are more efficient when it comes power usage which is why gtx 680m can OC like a champ and go above 1000+ core on voltage of 1.037

Not necessarily, I mean yeah generally laptop parts are picked to be lower leakage, but there are plenty of graphics card manufacturers that bin their chips and make high end overclocking cards too.

Plus, compared to desktop cards, 1,000Mhz on 1.037v is nothing special. That's about run of the mill honestly.

Can anybody confirm if this is real or not. If this kind of score can achieved by a single 680m, theoretically it can be doubled when in sli mode, I'm I correct or wrong?

Guys check this out & watch the video.
ORIGIN Gensis Overclocked Quad SLI Gaming PC Review - Dual GTX 690s | PC Perspective

on 6:18 mark is showed the benchmark score of a dual 690 gtx desktop which is 23872P on 3dmark 11, so by any means if we can over clock the 680m to achieved a 10000P score doubling it would cause a 20000P in sli mode . ............. I'm I dreaming or just misunderstood the video review?
