It's fake. If it was real it would be posted on 3dmarks site

He never posts links just screenshots, even with real stock benches... who knows though

If history is any indication, 5 years ago we had 8800 GTS desktop card as top of the line. Four of those today probably wouldn't even equal the performance of the 680m. Here's 8800 GTS SLI 3DMark Vantage: http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/3256/vantageoc.jpg

was the 8800 GTS a dual card card though?

1250MHz?

Wesley-Alex did the GTX 680M SLI WR?

If they were real, I'd wager that wesley-alex guy gets to hand-pick chips from nvidia factories

wow that score is equivalent to a 690 gtx desktop gpu score.
-
So 1.1750v, who made that vBios for him?
-
Guys... seriously. This thread is so unnecessary, it's all fake.
-
-
if you he has the cracked version of 3dmark11 (and i'm assuming he does cus his is professional [$1 grand anyone?]) then he would want to turn off posting his scores online for cracked security purposes
-
If you're pushing the limits of high end hardware why not fork over the $20 for the "advanced" version? I mean seriously. $800 video card and can't pony up $20 to make it legit? Sorry. It's like going for the world record in anything, and being too stupid to at least have a few reputable witnesses and video. Hell, even if he had video taped the run it'd hold a lot more credence than this hogwash.
-
^ This.
And besides, even the free version of 3dMark11 gives you valid verification links. Everyone familiar with the benching scene knows what kind of versification is required for benchmark runs, especially if you claim to be the worlds fastest. -
I'll trust svl7's opinion over some chinese guy any day.
And seriously now, common logic dictates that if the same core from the desktop version doesn't reach those speeds at that voltage, there's no justification for the mobile version doing it. -
I agree, the highest GTX 670(which the GTX680m is based) 3Dmark score is only; 11524@1402/1902 mhz
B.M.W`s
3DMark11 - Performance score: 11524 marks with a GeForce GTX 670
The highest Radeon HD 7870(which the 7970m is based) is;11604@1400/1540 mhz
subaruwrc`s 3DMark11 - Performance score: 11604 marks with a Radeon HD 7870
Its a very strange score for a lower clocked mobile GPU -
Maybe his 3DMark11 crashed.
I say that because it happened to me a few hours ago:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3920XM Processor Extreme Edition, MS-16F3 score: P10676 3DMarks
So much for the "record". -
That's a glitch in 3dMark11 and not a valid result, check test 4 - 153038.92 FPS
Please use some common sense.
And about the runs posted in the first post, they're all fake. Easy to prove, just recalculate the score manually. E.g. if you look at the test results for graphics test 1-4 and calculate the GPU score with those numbers, you get P11622 and not P10973,
The picture is photoshopped an merged with some other screenshots. The numbers don't match at all.
Stop getting fooled by such numbers, especially when they come without ANY proof, and don't believe anything that a pathetic liar like that 'Wesley-Alex' says. -
I said my test crashed, so of course I don't think it was a valid result.
I just thought I should post it before someone notices it in the Futuremark database and thinks that it somehow helps validate the fake score that this thread is about.
The smiley rolling its eyes and quotes around the word "record" were also supposed to be indicators of sarcasm. -
Ah, I see. My bad. -
Hey svl? Kinda off-topic, but what CPU scores do you get on that 920xm in 3dmark? I'd read one post from a guy that had apparently gotten around 7k. I can't go over 5.6k, and was wondering if there's a way. I saw that you'd gotten 5.5 at what appeared to be stock clocks (i might have read wrong), so how far'd you get during OC?
-
5.5k is about stock with the 920xm in the M15x, yes. By using Throttlestop you can get about P7450 in the CPU test. Here's my best benchmark with the M15x: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) CPU X 920 @ 2.00GHz,Alienware score: P8464 3DMarks
CPU could be slightly better in this run, but it's still a nice score I'd say
If you want to get even more you'd need to increase the CPU voltage. -
Stop showing off dude!
-
Going to have call then fake as well. When making world records, you tend to try to get them verified by the over clocking community, which he never ever does. So i'll keep claiming the title till that day happens...
And he would need to run Vantage as well. Its pretty hard to fool vantage with shader trickery and nv control panel tweaking.
New GTX 680M world record overclock!
