    Hey all,

So I was thinking of upgrading my 2-year old ASUS G50Vt laptop. The first thing I wanted to track down and find was an upgraded mobile graphics card. At the moment, it has a 9800M GS, so there is definitely room for improvement.

Does anyone know of the laptop cards that could fit into this machine that would also be an upgrade over the 9800 GS? (I don't care whether it is ATI or Nvidia)

I believe you can install the GTX 260m from an Asus G51Vx.

Not just any 260m will work in your laptop, as Asus uses reverse MXM video cards.

The only superior graphics card that has been confirmed to work on the ASUS G50Vt is the ASUS Geforce 260M GTX. Since ASUS uses their own inverted MXM design you're limited to only their GPU's. A few people have managed to upgrade theirs to the 260M GTX, so you'll have to search the ASUS sub-froms for more information.
