They said no XP or Vista... I believe Windows CE is the OS used on Mobile phones and such.

Looks like a netbook to me though. Pretty interesting stuff. If it actually runs most internet applications fast enough, and has a good battery life, this would be the ultimate netbook!

Uh, this isn't an actual product? From what I understand its just a test unit for maybe future stuff using Nvidia hardware?

Okay, maybe so, but where did you find that info? They made a nice looking case for just a test unit. Those look like chicklet keys....

Well, if you read the article, they are using the HP Mini case, stripped of its internals. This is just a prototype to prove a point, the real final product will likely be quite different.

And this won't be able to run Windows 7, as it lacks the proper processor architecture. Will be great as a netbook though.

yea, its nvidia's time to shine, they are the only company has the technology to support an internet+ wirelss convergence comunication device.
but still the biggest obstacle today is not lieing in technology sector, its in manufacturing --batery and cooling, a 6 cell battery weights 0.8lb, a small cooling fan plus copper rod for a 12 inch laptop weights 0.5lb.
yet the ultraportable needed to be as thin and light as possible, 2lb is the ideal weight. w/o major innovation from laptop battery and cooling method,
we shall expect to see some poor made 12 netbooks at the very begining .

Maybe this will work for a web browsing unit only, but no windows is going to gimp other netbook uses as I rely on windows software & programs.

plus no atom, the atom is awesome its pretty powerfull and good on energy, whats this new cpu going to deliver in terms of processing power vs battery life?

size? size of the mobo & chip wont matter if you shrink the body you make it too type on. Thats why 10" netbooks > even 9" netbooks. Anything smaller than 9" is just impossible to type with.

so I would like to see something happen here with this product, but people should understand this is not a replacment or better netbook but more or less a sub section of netbooks that can offer a cheaper solution if you only need specific things, though when a fully loaded atom netbook can be had for under $400 now I cant see much reason to downgrade to something lesser just to save a bit of money.
