New Medal of Honor trailer

I got this in my email from EA earlier today.

I can't wait. I've always been a huge MoH fan, and I really think Airborne didn't get the attention it deserved; it was an excellent game. Hopefully this new game will put the Medal of Honor series back on the map in a big way, and give Call of Duty and Battlefield something to compete with, as well as whatever Respawn comes up with. Release date is apparently 15 October of this year for Europe, and the 12th for North America.

 

Wow that's a hair raising trailer. I got goosebumps at the end with the music. Hopefully it's good, and doesn't try to be like CoD because I really like Airborne which of course was like the antithesis of how CoD is always designed. It had it's problems, but it was alot more interesting than any CoD. MoH has always had better music too I'm a bit peeved for DICE and EA going modern warfare on us with the new MoH, but I'm not surprised.

i'm quite a MOH fan too.. quite interested in the next one..

 

Yeah, the music sounds really promising so far. Definitely been a huge fan of the music in this series so far, much better than the CoD games...not even Hans Zimmer could save Modern Warfare 2's soundtrack.

Who knows? I don't think they'll phase it out entirely...even Airborne had some of the original motifs from that one.

If you ask me, MoH: European Assault had the best soundtrack of any games in the series, hands down, and indeed some of the best music of any game ever. Kinda ironic, considering how badly the game itself flopped.

Ahh the memories. The sniper only ladders/leagues were epic at the time for MOHAA.

 

Seems like a clone of MW2, but this looks much better actually less arcade and more serious sim. I have never been a MOH fan, but I have tried all the games, there nice, but I could not take WW2 anymore. This seems perfect!

 

Clone of MW2? Seems like a lot people have been thinking that, but if anything the MW series were a ripoff of Battlefield 2 and seeing how both Medal of Honor and Battlefield series are EA games then I'd say otherwise. Plus Medal of Honor series started back in 1999 while Call of Duty series started in 2003.

 

I have always loved the MoH series, and have played nearly all of them.

I can't wait for this, it looks like it is going to be sweet.

And it comes out 3 days after my Birthday too!

 

Technically, Call of Duty was originally a spin-off (not quite rip-off) of Medal of Honor. Many of the people who worked on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault went on to form Infinity Ward and made the original Call of Duty.

 

THIS will probably my 2nd original game!!!! (or COD7 BUT i am opting for this one since i also LOVE BC2)

 

Man hearing that theme song brings me back... MOHAA was my first game where I played hardcore online with my 56k modem. Also, I will never forget the D-Day level...

 

same here.. i played it on a 56K modem till 2006-2007... anyways , another reason i loved MOH was because i got all the games in the series for $35 USD... while airborne itself cost $40.. loved the 10th aniversary pack

Smack bang realism. EA hit the right notes on this trailer.

Can't wait for it to come out. This game seems like its gonna be good, real good.

That video? It's from the original Medal of Honor game for the PlayStation, 1999.

 

ooohh... talk about what 3 years of game development did.. wow Allied Assualt looks much better...

 

Not to mention the fact that it was developed for the PC, where graphical capability far exceeded that of the original PlayStation.

Impressive...although I'm generally not a huge Linkin Park fan, it worked pretty well for that video.

Anyway, I haven't been terribly impressed by the beta either, but I'm going to get this game even if it's just for the single player, because that's one area where the Medal of Honor series has always excelled.

 

WOW What a trailer. Certainly hope the SP is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Tried the BEta only complaint there is that i cant play it without disconnecting from my router and attaching LAN cable directly to modem. Of course they need to have larger maps.

 

I'm in the beta. Basically to get a good example of how this game plays is if someone took Bad Company 2's controls, put them in COD and took away the perks. DONE.

 

From what I've read, single-player isn't even going to use the same game engine. I find that rather unusual, but then again, I hate Frostbite, so anything is better than that.

 

SP is gonna be boss. From what ive read they are using the updated Unreal engine 3 for SP.

I liked MP even though the beta is full of hackers. Im a sucker for classic TDM and hopefully they add FFA as well. The team objective was balls though. Just awful. Defense never won based on my experience.
