    As the new line of high performance GPUs from ATI (HD4850) and nVidia (280GTX) are soon to be released, does anyone have any idea of how long it will take before these new products make their way into laptops?

    about 6 months minium
    because they have to downclock it and take some feature (shader cpu)
    for heat and power comsuptoin

    yep, bout 6 months and after that about 2-3 mnth for removing driver probs and stuff that arises from new hardware.
