Ok so i'm about to go buy a new laptop for college and i want a computer that is somewhat, top of the line. I was looking to get the HP pavilion dv5139us Notebook PC from circuit city. http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid...us%26Ntk%3DAll/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do#tabs
But i've been hearing that the video car is weak, ATI Radeon® Xpress™ 200M. I am a big gamer, well somewhat, playing halflife, source, call of duty, alot of first person shooter games. Will they run without a hitch. I'm not going to spend over a thousand dollars for a laptop that cannot handle even these games which have been out. Yes i know this has been talked about but i need a straight up answer. Thanks alot.

That GPU is very weak. No you cannot upgrade the Video card, please read the stickies at the top of the forum before you post. There will be information there that will be able to answer your questions. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=41454

If you want to fill out the FAQ we can help you find a laptop that meets your needs.

Maybe at the very lowest settings, maybe. Even then, with all the settings on low, the framerates wouldnt be very good.

Hmm... thats not good, maybe i need to find another notebook... that pisses me off that the video card screws everything up. I thought the processor and ram were the cructial factors in gaming and u didnt need an extremely good video card
