New TF2 update SUCKS, anyone elses opinions?

Just today I started up TF2 only to realise the whole home pag layout had been ruined imo. There are also numerous texture glitches now, such as pruple sparkling floor. All of this resulted in me ragequitting.

What are other peoples opinion?

 

Haven't fired up TF2 in a while since for some reason my friend has a problem where he joins and his ventrilo chat stops working, never could figure out why.

Anyways i'll have to give it a shot, what was it supposed to add?

Ewwww...... I liked the old one alot better, my vote is cast for old one is better!

 

I stopped playing TF2 when they started to destroy their game. Not really sure why Valve wanted to kill their game, but they are succeeding. Stun from scout, stupid hats, ridiculous spy buffs and on and on. Stupid on top of more stupid.

 

They cant just replace the Medic with a Demoman!

Looks fine to me, maybe I should start playing TF2 again...

 

I quite like it. I think the old one was a bit archaic.

Now that Mac has got Steam, already destroying it. TF2 has a sale for Mac where you get ear buds in game. So now TF2 is going to be about who is trendy and cool and stupid?

I like the new interface, doesn't have glitches for me.

 

I think it's cool with the earbuds business. It's just too bad that it apparently runs poor in OSX, from what I have heard.

 

They have updated the backround pic in the css beta but nothing too crazy.

 

I like the new interface, just have to get use to hitting esc to change load out instead of m.

 

Sorry guys, I guess the texture glitch thing was just a coincidence.

Up untill now, I've supported most of what they've done with TF2, I quite like the whole hat idea and stuff like that (I F****** HATE SPIES AND PYROS THOUGH) as it makes it a less serious gameplay, which I find nice. Although I like playing more realistic games like COD and that sort of thing, realism isn't everything, I'd never favour realism over fun.

I didn't realise that the mac guys ot special earbuds to mark out the n00bs though. I'll be sure to concentrate my fire on them, this could be kinda fun I guess.

You notice how they added tutorials into tf2 when they released it for mac. They knew that mac users are unable to learn how to do things on their own.

 

Pretty much, yeah. It would have been nice if they could have at least left the windows versions untouched seeing as most of us know about WASD anyway.

You have to agree though, macs are marketed towards those who just want easy to use computers. Sure there are those who buy them for the power, but it's a small minority.

 

People who buy macs for power don't buy imacs and macbooks, they buy Mac Towers and likely have an assortment of machines (Mac & PC), not just the one. At least in my experience this is how it's been.
