    From gamespot.

Comments include the inclusion of quick time events like the recently popularised God of War and even Dead Space. I'm more impressed with the screenshot for the upgrade tree, looks incredibly complicated and now divided into 4 aspects rather than the simpler sword styles and signs skill tree. The game looks good, just what hardware configuration is needed to max out the game remains anyone's guess.

Another plus is getting to reload from the old saved games, I've only got final saves from pre-Enhanced Edition, one for each faction. I don't know if that will count against me. I'm not sure this is all that welcome though, Bioware did the same gimmick for Mass Effect 2 and it wasn't that groundbreaking in my opinion.

Hmmmm. Reload from old saved games, eh? The problem that I have with that sorta shenanigans is that I can never be arsed to keep my old games. Plus I find it's easier to just go with some downloaded saves, since it's easier to get a savegame that's "completely" pointed in one direction.

Having saves that "completely point" in one direction is a mug's game for the Witcher, especially since so many of the choices made have very ambiguous consequences.

I don't like the console influences for some of the action sequences, monster hunters don't man war machines in battles they should not always be involved in.

Sounds and looks exciting. But I'm very new to the genre (to computer games in general) and I'm wondering if I should play Witcher first before playing Witcher 2....

Maybe I should try some other RPG game (something that can familiarize me with the gameplay) before I go for it. What do you think?

(Don't say Mass Effect, I already have the game but I haven't had a chance to play it. :p)

might as well try the witcher first.

it's a bit odd (combat/controls/whatever) but you ought to be able to get used to it.

also, watch out for the nws. Story is a bit slow at first but it picks up as you go along.

Ahhh ok. So this is an "adult" game, a little bit? No worries, I've played and loved the GOW series.

yeah. though if you do get the game make sure you setup the enhanced edition director's cut (I mean just getting it from steam will do that for you).

enhanced edition fixed a lot of bugs and improved the translation a bit and supposedly improved the voice acting some too (though I mean it's not the best but hey, it's better than this: YouTube - Freelancer NPC threatning me (god freelancer's random NPC VAing is horrible. Trent's pretty bad too. Game is still fun though)

I'm excited about this game. I bought the original Witcher when it was first released and it was so buggy I couldn't open my inventory or skill tree without it crashing. I really hope they don't make the same mistake again...

They did rectify it with the Enhanced Edition (which was a free upgrade) and in the last 2 weeks I've made it to chapter 3 and I hope to have it finished soon. Its a great game, I like the combat, and it is challenging without being frustrating although I think quest tracking should be made easier.

I'm as well excited for this sequel. Especially I'm holding my breath to hope that the system requirements are for 1080p kind of resolutions, otherwise I might end playing it at the bottom lowest :S .
