    Hi, I got a new laptop, the CZ-9 Ultra. It's a Compal JHL90 system.

I bought it from ibuypower. I was worried when buying, but it turned out to be okay... so far ;) I'm trying to eliminate all worries before the 30 day guarantee runs out.

    My specs are:

    Computer : Compal JHL90
    Processor : T5800
    RAM : 2 GB
    OS : Vista 64bit SP1
    Video : NVidia 9600M GT

    Temperatures from HWMonitor:

Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T7250
    Max: 68C & 72C
(I don't know why it says T7250 rather than T5800)

    GeForce 9600M GT
    Max: 92C

    ST9160411AS (HDD)
    Max: 39C

This is after I played some games.

    My questions basically are:

    1. Is 92C bad for my graphics card? Should I lower the temperature? What's a good max temperature for the 9600M GT?

    2. My two CPU core temperatures differ by 4C. Is that normal? Is it better if I match one with the other, etc.?

Any other recommendations are welcome as well.

    Thanks!

Core temps are fairly normal there.

GPU is really high, but not outside of what others have reported from 8xxx / 9xxx series cards.

should I be worried? should I change the clocking to try to lower the temperature?

Oh, and what's a safe temperature for the my CPU, T5800? Can I overclock it?

Keep the CPU under 80C, but even that is higher than you should be operating at 24/7.

92 is pretty warm. Did you have the notebook sitting on any kind of cloth? If so, make sure to raise it up, and make sure you dont block any vents on the bottom of the unit if there are any. You could also try a notebook cooler to ease your mind, but the temps you state don't sound that bad. The GPU is the only one I'd watch.
