    How exactly do we check what version we currently have?

    edit: When I try to install it it says that "DX has confirmed that a newer or equivelant version has been installed already" but if this one is only from 2 days ago I didn't install it...

    I run that installer about once a month or when a game has issues, and realize there's been an update.

    I haven't installed any new games... I haven't even had the computer on. I have no idea how that's possible?

    you might have an older GPU where its funny an older verison of directx so there maybe no need to update

    Dont install this, wait for redist nov/dec instead...This only secretly tries to get you to install bing, just stick with what you have or use june which is the same.
