Dell drivers are fine, there's nothing WRONG with them or anything. You can just get better performance out of some tweaked drivers that many sites offer. Personally, I am using drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com. They give me a nice little performance boost in 3dmark scorses, but there are other sites as well. Hope that helps a little bit

The tweaked drivers offer more optimizations for games, allowing them to run better, etc. Same goes for 3DMark scores as posted by sublime.

I should think so, the new drivers can also contain upgrades for the GPU, and make it run more efficently.

To give you a good idea on how much better a computer can run with updated drivers, MY 5720 came with graphics card drivers that were 4-5 months old, and when I ran FarCry, (in case you dont know, is a somewhat graphic demanding game) it would run a little sluggish with its graphics maxed out and would run fairly warm. Since I got the new drivers for my card, there has been no sluggishness, and it runs a lot cooler. Now Im not sure whether or not the drivers had anything to do with the "Cooler" part, but even if not, ive seen an increase in performance with my notebook.

Usually, depending on the model of your graphics card, you can get updated drivers from the companies website free of charge. NVIDIA uses drivers that are universal for every one of their cards. your drivers would be on their website, www.nvidia.com

For the cooler part...there are a couple of things that could make it run cooler...if the driver is misusing resources it would cause the card to work harder to catch up...thus hotter GPU. :)
