Update:
So I downloaded the modded INF file and placed it in the 163.69 folder. When I went to install again I get this message:
"Setup detected that the operating system that is in use is not Windows Vista [32-bit]. This setup program and its associate drivers are designed to run only on Windows Vista [32-bit]. The installation will now be terminated."
This is really wierd.....b/c I do have Vista 32-bit. I even checked under my system information just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Anyone have any ideas? I suppose I could try and download the 64-bit ones???? -
do the have-disk method
-
is the inf file for vista?
get the inf from here http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=72 -
Yes I downloaded the inf for vista 32 as well.
-
Well, this time it worked? Did nothing different...whatever
-
dude, go to laptopvideo2go.com and dnload the version that u need! the drivers r out on their site!
-
do i uninstall my previous drivers from the device manager screen? Or is there a more complicated process? Someone fast answer pls!
-
yeah, first u uninstall it from the control panel, then restart in safe-mode and do a clean-up with driver cleaner, then boot up normally and install the new drivers.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
You don't have to uninstall old drivers.
-
you should though as it is recommended for optimal operation/performance
-
You can just install the drivers in safe mode right after you cleaned it with driver cleaner. The installation is faster is safe mode so don't need to waste time to boot it up again.

true dat
btw, my 3dmark score improved by a couple points, mainly in the shader test -
done what big V said...also where it says it improved compatability what does this mean because world in conflict/crysis are already compatible with vista anyway?
-
more compatibility, perhaps!? lol

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
They just fix bugs and glitches, stuff like that.

Wow these drivers suck for me! every time i plug my lappy into the external monitor it turns black n white!! wte, any 1 no the best drivers for bf2?
-
Anybody noticed any significant bump up in framerates between the 163.69 and 163.44 versions? I have the .44 version and that is working fine with Bioshock. I'm leery about upgrading drivers when things are going fine, unless there is noticeable bump in performance.

I wonder if it finally is a time for me to update my trusty 158.45. Everything, including hibernation/sleep works fine on 158.45, so I don't want to take a risk...
-
what card u got?
hmm..i wouldn't say significant, but i'd say it is no worse -
yeh i have 158.45 they seem to be the best!
-
.69 runs well for me
