Go to www.omegadrivers.net. They have great ATI drivers. They will give you a boost for sure. Good luck with it mate!

    1. Download the drivers you wish to install - I recommend Omega drivers.
    2. Go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall your old drivers.
    3. Restart.
    4. On boot-up, your system will be a bit messed up (not really, only the screen resolution will be out of native res). This is fine. Log on and install the new drivers.
    5. Restart.
    6. Done.

If you mess up a new driver install, you just boot into safe mode and remove them from there. That'll fix it, then you can go back and figure out what you did wrong and correct it.

Its almost impossible to mess anything up. Just uninstall your current display drivers fully, then restart. The laptop will boot into standard vga mode, and it will stay in vga mode until you install new drivers. All you have to do is install the drivers and restart....its so easy a baby could do it :D
