Apparently Nvidia announced their new laptop lineup at CES this year, and while the flagship models have not been announced (those replacing the 9800m GT and GTX), the replacements for the others are as follows:
9200m GE replaced by G105M - 56% gain in performance
9300m GS replaced by G110M - 35% gain in performance
9600M GT replaced by GT 130M - 17% gain in performance
No news on power consumption or price, but good to know that they exist.

If they take even less power the G105M looks great.

I need high end GPU lineup kthanksbye

I think basically all we are seeing is 9x cards that have been downsized to 55nm (with some performance improvements)
I don't think there's going to be anything 'new' (ie GT21x architecture) until the second half of the year. -
only 17% over the 9600GT? we all know nvidia inflates the value so... maybe 8-10%...

we need something to compete with the desktop 8800GTS 512mb!!!! hurry up nvidia!!!

So is this the renamed 8 series all over again?
(same basic cores on a new process.) -
Yes, these new mobile GPU's are just 55nm versions of the 8 series cards... again. The performance gains are going to be simple increases of frequency on the cards since the smaller wafer size allows for lower heat, they'll just bump the frequency and call it something new. As usual. I'm pretty sure the mobile GTX260 will also be coming out this year, but will be done using 40nm and possibly GDDR5 on a 256bit bus to lower the power consumption.
But we already know the MR HD4870 with GDDR5 was already confirmed, so who really cares what nVidia might be releasing on the high end.
The only thing I'm looking forward to hearing more about nVidia is both the ION platform, and whether this will mean some level of gaming and 1080P video capability on <$400 8.9" notebooks, and any info at all on their next GPU architecture -

sorry i got a laugh out of that
But we do have to wait and see. We might get something good from high end nVidia later in the year -

Man. How many times to they plan to take the same old stuff, make a minor change and re-brand it? Seriously. All they're doing is shrinking the die and overclocking the stuff??
This is getting old. -

Wow. This looks really horrible as compared to ATI's mobile GPU lineup. A mere 17% gain in the successor to the 9600M GT?
-
-
They confirmed a GTS 160M (about 9700M GTS), GTX 170M (9800M GS) and GTX 180M (9800M GTX)
-
More powerful, shrunk to 55nm?
-
All the current 1 series are still 65nm
Only a few 9 series are 55nm (9650M GT, 9800M GTS). The next generation 1 series will be all 55nm except the G 105M refresh (still at 65nm).
