    Hey,

I'm looking for a new laptop to replace my old model (going on 5/6 years old).

I'm primarily looking to use it for university, but very decent in the gaming department too (quite a hard one to mix).

My old model is as such:
    - Dell Studio 1555
    - Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @ 2.00 GHz
    - 4 GB RAM
    - Windows VISTA 64 BIT
    - Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series
    - 300 GB memory

I am looking for a new laptop that will last quite a while - specifically being able to play ARMA II on high stats. The minimum and recommended stats as follows:

    Minimum:
Intel Core 2.4GHz or AMD Dual-Core Athlon 2.5GHz
    2GB RAM
NVIDIA GEForce 86000GT or ATI RADEON 3650 with shader model 3 and 512 MB VRAM

    Recommended:
    - Intel Core i5 or AMD Phenom II or faster
    - 4GB RAM
    - Nvidia GeForce GTX260 or ATI Radeon HD 5770 or faster with shader model 3 and 896 MB VRAM
    - Compatible with Direct x11 and a compatible sound card.

    Further specs I'd like:
    - 300GB memory
    - A dedicated graphics unit (I've noticed alot of laptop deals have integrated - but dedicated is better right?)

I'm looking for a 15" maximum screen and prices ranging anywhere between £300-£500 (prefer to steer away from £500).

I would appreciate any help in the matter, excuse my lack of knowledge. When it comes to PC specifics I am not very up to date.

    Thanks

You should post this in the What Notebook Should I Buy section.
