    HalfLife 2
    F.E.A.R
    Battlefield 2

Even though you seem to like FPS's the most, l'd recommend Oblivion over all of these games (Besides HL2 :p).

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Americas Army are two great first person shooters. And both of them are free :)

Pick up Unreal Tournament 2004. It's a little old, but it's tremendous fun, plus it can make use of the widescreen resolutions. Plus on a KN1, you can run it with 2x AA and 8x AF without any lag except on the truly massive maps.

I'd recommend getting Far Cry. That's one of the best first person shooters you can get . . even though it's somewhat dated, it still looks fantastic and offers A+ gameplay. The environments vary and are incredibly realistic, the A.I. is excellent, even compared to newer game engines, and of course the weaponry rocks.

UT2004 . . I still play that. Great game - A.I. is great at the run and gun warfare. Online is a blast.

guys...i only have about $100 to spend.....so lets see,
    FarCry: $19.99 at circuitcity
    UT2004: $29.99 at circuitcity
    BattleField 2: $49.99 at circuitcity
    Oblivion: $49.99 at circuitcity
so thats: $150+tax total. hmmmm.....thats a little too much...

which game do you guys think that i should take out to balance it to $100?

If FPS is what you want, Oblivion should go since it is an RPG. But I think Oblivion is highly regarded by many right now, so if you have any interest in RPGs you should keep that.

Of the rest, I only played BattleField 2, and that's fun at least :)

First I would definitely get F.E.A.R. one of the best fps that's come out last couple of years. Great graphic and great story if u take the time to read/listen to the messages on the laptops and telephones (u get my point when u buy the game).
Secondly, get BF2, theres a game that never gets boring. Nothing like battling it out with 64 other guys and girls across the world. Here u get a great fps where teamwork is important. Sure u can go round and play one man army, but the fun lies in creating teams and have a common goal.

I've played all of them... Oblivion gets really boring if you aren't into RPGs. It's good for the pretty factor and not much else.

Most Role-playing games are 3rd person views...at least for the most part. Although you can switch to first person view. :p

You can download Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory at download.com but then you have to download a seperate patch (like 5 MB) to make the game work. You cannot get the patch from download.com, but just go to google and type in enemy territory patch and you should be able to find it.

If u don't have HL2, then get that one as well + F.E.A.R. + BF2. I'm assuming that you were mainly into FPS and not RPG's.
If you're into horror movies, then FEAR will be right up your alley :) As I said before, great story and room for much debate when you've finished it :) Lots of forums out there who is debating what the hell happened :)

Don't forget to <strike>bring a towel</strike> write a review of your KN1! Only if you feel like it, of course, but I think a second opinion of the system would help to inform buyers better. Hope you have fun with your new system!

My GPU clock is 375MHz, with the memory at 600. What's yours? Is it higher now, as your 3dmark05 score is pretty impressive.

Oh, and if you're curious, the GPU doesn't seem to be bothered by overclocking at all (but don't tell ISTNC!). I got a 3dmark05 score of 3100 on an overclock, and the cooling system wasn't bothered one bit by the higher speed. Still, I run on normal clocks for all gaming, as it's more than adequate for all my uses.
