    Heh heh... i just blown 1 9800Pro and another X700.. getting Nvidia on the next round... and hopefully it is on the laptop.. as the 8600.. Come on.. just launch those things.. i want them!

    They list 22fps as playable and say that in their tests the 7600GT only gets 41fps in Quake IV at 1024x768...

    I wouldn't trust them! :D

    While 22fps is actually pretty playable for most games except the most die-hard of shooters, someone should tell my old 7600GT it's not supposed to run fluidly at 1680x1050. Computer Shopper said so! ;)

    22 fps is not playable, no matter how you try to sell it.

    Some people will say it's doable for RPG's like Oblivion, but I've never been able to hit anything in that game below 30fps, and I'm pretty good with anticipating the graphics slowdown and shooting where the target will be with my bow. For shooters like CS:S or FEAR or Battlefield, it's just painful.

    Bottom line, spend a few more bucks and get a video card that matches your needs, instead of getting one that doesn't and trying to make yourself think it does.
